PPLi utilizes MAEH’s system for documentation during transportation of hazardous & non-hazardous industrial waste. This manifest system allows proper tracking, proves compliance, identifies the material transported and is an added safety measure. The system is in compliance with both Indonesian and international standards, and will benefit your ISO 14001 program and material audit procedures.

Our sophisticated on-site lab checks the incoming waste!

Environmental Monitoring

PPLi monitors and audits the surrounding environment using the Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan. These programs track groundwater, surface water, dust, odor, air quality, health and safety, and much more. Our procedures are compliant with WTO, Indonesia and U.S.-EPA standards.

Leachate Management System

Liquid coming into contact with waste is called “leachate”. This water comes from rain, moisture in the waste processing and decomposition.

Leachate management is critical to environmental protection and most of our waste water is recycled. All leachate is treated in our onsite Effluent Treatment Plant (utilizing physical, chemical and biological treatment processes) to meet the Effluent Quality Standards.

At PPLi, we continually pump the leachate from the leachate collection system at the bottom of the landfill as well as from all other on-site sources. Because PPLi removes the leachate when produced, we completely minimize environmental risks in this area.

Closure & Post Closure Monitoring

After the landfill space has been utilized and properly capped, in accordance with statutory Regulations, the area will be developed as a conservation area. PPLi will fulfil its obligations to maintain the site and monitor the conditions of the area for 30 years after closure of the landfill.

The Ministry of Environment actively controls and monitors the site not only during the operation phase, but also during the post closure phase. Pemerin tah Daerah Tingkat II Bogor will also be involved in inspection of the site. PPLi’s internal procedures ensure compliance with all regulations.

Public Participation Policy

PPLi's encourages open communication with local communities through its public participation program. We address all legitimate concerns and strive to be a responsible member of the community.

Our facilities are open to public inspection and we offer educational visits by appointment. We hope that these visits help convey and communicate our mission of "Returning the Environment to the People of Indonesia".
