What type of waste does PPLi treat? PPLi treats almost every type of liquid and solid waste; however, PPLI does not treat the following substances: radioactive waste, infectious waste, explosives, pressurized gas containers, certain reactive waste, oils above 500 ppm PCB, and ammonium salts above 2%. What procedures should we follow to send our waste to PPLi? How much will it cost?
Technical Sales Representatives will perform a free onsite visit and provide an initial assessment of your waste management needs. After the initial consultation, we ask that you provide PPLi with a sample of your waste, either a one kilogram sample for solid waste and/or a one liter sample for liquid waste. We will then analyze the sample to determine the appropriate treatment method. After incorporating information about your waste volume and contract length, we will send you a price quotation. What size waste sample does PPLi require? PPLi requires a one kilogram sample for solid waste streams and/or a one liter sample for liquid waste streams. PPLi may require a larger sample size in certain situations. Can we send the sample to the site or will PPLi pick it up? If you are located at Jabotabek, Cilegon, Karawang, Surabaya, our Account Manager will collect the sample from your site. Please call our offices to coordinate a visit. Our Account Manager will bring a container if they visit your site to collect the sample. What happens if you cannot provide a sample? If no sample is available, a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) will help us determine the treatment method. Upon waste collection and arrival, we will perform an inspection and laboratory analysis to re-confirm the treatment method and costs. In this situation, additional commercial and safety conditions will apply and we ask you provide digital photos of the waste and a written testimonial. How long does it take to receive the price quotation? PPLi always sends the quotation as soon as it is available. Normally, PPLi returns quotations within five to 14 days after receiving the sample at the laboratory. Your Account Manager can offer a price estimate in less time; however the estimate is subject to change pending the lab results. Can we use our own trucks to deliver waste to PPLi? Yes you can; however, we prefer to use our own drivers and specialized equipment. As long as you follow all of the regulations required for transporting hazardous waste, you can subcontract out the transport service. In this situation, you will be responsible for all liabilities associated with transportation. What is the minimum quantity of waste you will collect? There is no minimum quantity. For small quantities of bulk waste in solid form, we will use our 10 cubic meter roll off box to collect the waste, and the minimum quantity in the 10 cubic meter container is three tons per collection. Otherwise the newly fabricated one cubic meter boxes or 200 liter sealed drums can be used. Special packaging is required for small amounts packed in 200 liter drums or 1 cubic meter containers. Does PPLi provide the containers for waste storage? Yes. The cost for the container is included in the service fee if your waste is collected at least once every three weeks. PPLi has a variety of containers to suit your needs. If we deliver waste in drums, can you return the drums? Yes, we can; however, you must deliver a minimum of 25 drums per shipment at a minimum of one shipment per month. The returned drums must be used for the same waste stream and each drum must be marked with a profile number and company name for safety reasons. Customers should not mix different types of waste. |
